Caitlin Clark’s fans leave no stone unturned in favoring players who show support for their favorite superstar. Seattle Storm rookie Flau’jae Johnson seems to be on their radar for now. Johnson had often praised Clark in the past. On Tuesday, Clark made a notable move to appreciate her by including the Storm guard in her latest Instagram post.
Not just that, Johnson was also the only player included in Clark’s carousel that had nine pictures. It was a snapshot of Johnson and Clark hugging pregame during the Storm’s visit to Indiana on Sunday. Clark fans noticed that and dished their true feelings about Johnson on X.
“Flau’jae is the only other person Caitlin posted in her photo dump lmfao she loves her so much,” one fan said.
“Only Flaujae understands what it is to be a true star like CC. All these others are straight up haters who wish they were up to their level of stardom. They just need to realize the reality,” another wrote.
“Would love to see them play together one day,” one fan expressed.
“Trade Kelsey, Ty Harris and some marbles for big 4,” another suggested.
“Look at Flau’s sincerity.. you can’t fake that,” one fan wrote.
“Flau’jae, they can never make me hate you,” another said.
The duo had an intense battle similar to their college days, but mutual respect remained the same. Clark came out on top with 21 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists on 5 of 10 shots, while Johnson scored 14 points, with six rebounds and four blocks.
She didn’t shoot well, going 3-for-14, but was aggressive getting to the free-throw line, where she went 8-for-9. The Fever won 89-78, dominating most of the game and fending off a late Storm run.
Flau’jae Johnson has a song on Caitlin Clark
Basketball isn’t the only profession where Flau’jae Johnson has shown her talent. The former LSU star is also a rapper. Johnson’s discography includes 80 songs across multiple projects. That includes a song, “Help Me,” in which she namedrops Caitlin Clark, rapping the lyric:
“double C on my jacket like Caitlin Clark.”
Clark acknowledged it publicly in an interview, saying:
“Her music is really great. She’s so talented…she told me a while back, actually, that she was putting me in a song… yeah, she’s incredible. That was fun to see.”
Caitlin Clark and Flau’jae Johnson could have teamed up this year. Johnson was the eighth pick, while Fever had the 10th pick. However, Indiana didn’t trade for her. Johnson, who was picked by the Valkyries, got traded to the Storm. The Fever picked Raven Johnson with their selection.
