Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark continues to grow in popularity, especially now that she has played tremendously well in her third WNBA season. Last year, Clark was just limited to 13 games played for her sophomore stint. But early on in the 2026 WNBA campaign, Clark has already appeared in 12 games for the Fever. With this, Clark has led the team to several wins while averaging a career-high in scoring.
Given that she has been a famous athlete ever since her years in college basketball, it’s only fitting that Clark finally gets her own signature shoe. The spitfire scorer has been part of the Nike family for years now and has had several player editions of sneakers from late NBA legend Kobe Bryant’s signature line. Now, the rollout for Clark’s first shoe has begun, and onlookers are pointing to a nod to American singer Taylor Swift in one of the campaigns.
Fans and spectators have since rejoiced over Clark’s campaign for her first signature shoe, and are excitingly waiting for it to drop.
“Daughter was lucky enough to get a bracelet from @CaitlinClark22 tonight at @IndianaFever game and a signature. #dreamscometrue,” one fan shared.
“Yay the release is coming in October!!!,” another fan exclaimed.
“The shoe dropping after she wins the chip is gonna feed families,” another user claimed.
“Going to match those new Nike’s that are dropping soon,” a fan pointed out.
“If we don’t get friendship bracelets with the Caitlin One’s I will riot,” one fan said.
The nod in discussion is when Clark showed up to her recent regular season game, and the official Fever X/Twitter account uploaded a fit check of her. In the fit check, Clark is seen wearing a bright blue Alexander McQueen suit with a pair of white Nike Air Force Ones.
The video then pans to Clark’s friendship bracelet, which says “Caitlin 1” and “10-01-26”. The details on the friendship bracelet are presumably the release date of Clark’s shoe, which also nods to Swift’s friendship bracelet trend. Fans of the artist routinely make bracelets out of colorful, elastic beads to spell out song lyrics, titles, and more.
Along with this, Clark has also played in a limited edition pair of Nike Kobe 6’s in an “Eras Tours” colorway earlier in the month that is a direct nod to Swift’s recent concert tour of the same name. The pair sports a gradient upper that goes from green to yellow to pink to orange. The player exclusive is finished off with a black midsole and a white outsole.
Caitlin Clark has changed her Instagram profile picture and username to tease her first signature shoe
Along with Caitlin Clark’s recent pre-game fit check that nods to Taylor Swift, the 24-year-old has also changed details on her Instagram account. Clark changed her profile picture to blue-colored C’s with a Nike swoosh logo in front. She has also changed her username from @caitlinclark22 to @caitlin1.
Clark is fresh off her team’s 22-point blowout of the Toronto Tempo, 113-91. In the win, Clark dropped 21 points, five rebounds, a game-high 14 assists, one steal, and a block in 32 minutes played. The Fever now holds a 9-5 record in the current season.
