Angel Reese Dishes True Feelings on Missing Unrivaled After Lockdown Defense Clip on Napheesa Collier Resurfaces

Unrivaled announced its Season 2 complete player roster in November without Angel Reese. The tournament’s inaugural Defensive Player of the Year winner chose to sit out the second season to heal from a nagging back injury. Rose BC will try to defend the championship without her in the lineup.

A clip of Reese’s best defensive plays resurfaced on Monday, prompting her to respond:

    “Ugh, I kinda miss it.”

The first sequence featured Angel Reese locking down Napheesa Collier, the Unrivaled co-founder and inaugural MVP. In the clip, Reese tapped the ball away from Collier before bumping into her to force the Lunar Owls captain to lose the ball. The “Chi Barbie” finished the sequence by racing to the other end for a righty layup.

Reese’s defensive highlights included blocks against Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally and steals against Kate Martin, Rhyne Howard and Unrivaled co-founder Breanna Stewart.

In Angel Reese’s inaugural campaign with Unrivaled, she led the tournament with 12.4 rebounds per game. She also anchored the best defensive team that won the championship.

    One fan said:

    “Keep preparing for Season 3.”

    Another fan added:

“Just a different type of energy with you on the floor. We understand why you didn’t play. Let’s get ready for Year 3.”

    One more fan continued:

“Lmao. You had Phee looking silly in that first clip.”

    Another fan commented:

“We miss you so much and it’s not just the same.”

    One fan tweeted:

“Aint’ watched a game since you been gone goat.”

A Season 3 appearance for Angel Reese is not guaranteed. Even if healthy, she could concentrate on her growing businesses and get much-needed rest. Reese could also oblige her fans, who can’t wait to see her in action again.
