“Peak Misogyny” – Tennis Fans Explode Defending Anna Kalinskaya from Jannik Sinner WAG Tag

Recently, a clip went viral comparing “tennis WAGs” with “F1 WAGs,” featuring numerous faces, including Jannik Sinner’s ex-girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya. Sinner and Kalinskaya started dating in 2024, but in the first half of 2025, they split.

Unlike most other tennis partners, Kalinskaya is a professional tennis player, having reached career-high rankings of world No. 11 in singles in Oct. 2024, and No. 37 in doubles in August 2025. Despite that, the clip downplayed her status to just a “tennis WAG.”

This didn’t sit right well with many fans as they raised objection against it.

“The concept of reducing Kalinskaya as just wag although she is still an active player??? WAG fans are weird asl,” one fan wrote.

“Anna kalinskaya is an active tennis player not a wag,” another added.

“tennis is a serious sport and we don’t care about “wags”, also anna kalinskaya is a wta player and isn’t dating jannik anymore. this is peak misogyny,” one fan reacted.

“anna kalinskaya an active AND top 25 player, a successful tennis player herself, only getting reduced to “tennis wag” while not even dating sinner right now looool,” one fan added.

“tennis wags” and it’s 22nd wta ranked player anna kalinskaya…,” one fan commented.

“Anna K in this … ewww, So glad that we don’t have a wag culture in tennis unlike f1,” one fan said.

Everything To Know About Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya’s Relationship

It was in May 2024 that rumors of a relationship between Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya first got official confirmation. In the 2024 French Open, the Italian said:

“Yes, I’m with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. I won’t say more.”

Kalinskaya and Sinner supported each other during the 2024 Wimbledon championship. The following month, in an interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Sinner described what it’s like to be a high-profile tennis player and have a relationship at the same time.

“Of course, it’s not easy, I travel a lot and during tournaments, I’m very focused,” Sinner told the magazine. “But I think it’s a beautiful thing when you find the right love. Like for everyone. And then, if you think about it, the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children.”

Following his three-month doping suspension in May last year, Sinner confirmed he was single:

“I was very surprised to see some pictures, which, you know, nothing serious…I’m not in a relationship. So, whoever is asking, that’s it. It’s all good.”

As of 2026, Sinner is currently dating Laila Hasanovic. They sparked rumors since around mid–late 2025, and the public confirmation came in October 2025 after winning the Vienna Open.
