Carlos Alcaraz recently took part in a photoshoot for Vanity Fair ahead of the clay season. The photoshoot has now received a review from journalist, Blake Morgan, who thinks she has cracked the code behind the agenda of the photoshoot.
Alcaraz is currently sidelined with a wrist injury he picked up during the Barcelona Open, which has ruled him out of both the Italian Open and the upcoming French Open. Vanity Fair, which labeled him a “sex symbol” in their feature, revealed that the shoot took place a day before his opening match at the Miami Open earlier this year.
Morgan took to her Instagram and said:
“Vanity Fair has an agenda. And that agenda is to make Carlos Alcaraz the hot boy of tennis. Because not only did they photograph this beautiful man.. covered in clay, thighs very much on display, they obviously wrote an article to go along with the photos. And I’m sure not a lot of people read it, but I did. When you read the opening sentences, you cannot mistake this for anything but smut. And I wanna read it to you to show you what I mean, using my best, like, audiobook smut voice.”
“We’re watching Alcaraz roll around on brick-orange clay, but we’re not watching him play tennis. There’s some of it on his face, around his thick eyebrows, and sprinkled above his lips. It’s lightly dusted over his freshly trimmed beard and his hair, longer than usual, a little disheveled. It’s all over his clothing too. A Louis Vuitton tank top that’ll occasionally slide up his taut abdomen. Some Nike shorts, six-inch inseam, in case you’re wondering, that offer a glimpse at his tan line, and his personal Rolex watch,” she added.
Carlos Alcaraz Reveals His True Feelings About Life Off the Court
Carlos Alcaraz, apart from his photoshoot, also gave an interview to Vanity Fair, where he opened up about his life beyond tennis. He admitted that although he is living his dream, there are still moments when he wishes he could experience life more like a normal 22-year-old.
Alcaraz said:
“I know I’m living a dream life, the life I’ve always dreamed of. But sometimes I wish I had more moments for myself, to do the things a 22-year-old guy would do. I know I still have a lot ahead of me and I try not to think about the fact that I still have 12 or 15 years of career left, because I feel overwhelmed.”
With the French Open out of the picture due to his wrist injury, Carlos Alcaraz will now shift his full focus toward recovery before making his return during the grass-court season.
