In a short span of time, American tennis sensation Ben Shelton and his soccer star girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, have become inseparable. Just earlier this year in March, the duo went public with their relationship after Shelton shared a cozy selfie of them from the elevator. They have also been part of a few TikTok engagements as well since the early half of the year, and it appears their relationship is only growing stronger.
On Thursday, Rodman gave the ultimate honor of “soulmate” to Shelton in her New Year’s post. She posted a moment of the couple in which they are kissing each other in the backdrop of the New Year celebrations.
“2025 you were somethin… thank you for bringing me my soulmate❤️ @benshelton,” Trinity captioned the post.
The duo has been supportive and respectful of each other’s professions. Rodman even traveled to Wimbledon to watch Shelton play there. She was also spotted at Flushing Meadows for the 2025 US Open. On the other hand, Shelton has also attended Rodman’s soccer games, including the NWSL championship game. After the Washington Spirit lost, Shelton was seen comforting disappointed Rodman.

On October 9, Trinity Rodman celebrated Ben Shelton’s 23rd birthday by posting heartfelt moments of the couple in a video. The clip showcased the couple engaging in romantic and candid moments.

Meanwhile, on the tennis front, Ben Shelton will travel to New Zealand to play the ASB Classic (ATP 250) in Auckland, as part of his preparations for the 2026 Australian Open.
“For me it’s been great preparation, great matches, and a place that I feel comfortable,” Shelton said. “I think that to start the year it’s nice to be somewhere that you’re comfortable and feels like home. I enjoy playing there. And I’ve played well in the Australian Open after that tournament, and it’s one that I’d like to keep coming back to.”
The 2026 Australian Open starts January 18 in Melbourne. The former AO semifinalist will be tasked with defending 800 ranking points from his deep run last year.
