After a year off and spending the 2024 season as a senior analyst with the Los Angeles Rams, Frost agreed to return as the head coach for the UCF Knights. In his first year with the program (2016), the Knights went a forgettable 6-7. But the 2017 campaign was an all-timer.
Not only did UCF finish the regular season undefeated (12-0), but it went on to upset the Auburn Tigers in the Peach Bowl (34-27). Frost’s new deal was for five years, which would remain valid through the 2029 season.
