The 2025 college football season is certainly a ways away. In fact, it’s so far away, few knew that the Oklahoma Sooners SEC opponents for the 2025 season would be released in March, nine months prior to the turn of the new year.
Yet, with that release of the Sooners’ SEC opponents for the 2025 season, one thing rang through: The opponents look familiar.
List 2025 Oklahoma Sooners SEC Opponents
Oklahoma is still approaching their first ever season as a member of the SEC. That new season starts in the fall of 2024 and witnesses the Sooners traveling to Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, and Louisiana for regular-season, in-conference games for the first time in history.
Oklahoma gets Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina in Norman, with a ‘home game’ against archrival Texas in Dallas coming in the middle of that stretch. The only difference from year’s past is the fact that the Red River Showdown is now an SEC conference game as opposed to a de facto Big 12 eliminator as it has become recently.

If the 2025 list of opponents for the Sooners looks familiar, it’s because it’s the exact same schedule as Oklahoma’s first season in the SEC, just flipped in terms of venues. Oklahoma will host Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri, and LSU in 2025, after making trips to each of those respective schools in 2024.
The Sooners will then travel to South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama as part of a reverse-engineered SEC schedule where all the teams just simply flipped their in-conference games from 2024 to 2025.
Oklahoma will play eight conference games in 2025, just like 2024, and will mirror the same SEC opponents as they did in their first season in the conference.
