Nick Emmanwori Contract: How Much Does Seattle Rookie Make?

Nick Emmanwori signed a four-year, $11.6 million rookie contract with the Seattle Seahawks after being selected 35th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. This deal was historic as it marked the first time in NFL history that a player picked at the 35th spot received a fully guaranteed contract.

The agreement highlighted the high value that the Seahawks placed on the South Carolina safety, treating him with the financial security typically reserved for first-round selections.

As per Spotrac, the contract includes a signing bonus of approximately $5.07 million, which provided Emmanwori with a large upfront cash payout. His average annual salary is roughly $2.9 million. For the 2025 season, his base salary was set at $840,000, and it is scheduled to rise annually through the four-year term. By the final year of the deal in 2028, his base salary is projected to reach $2.4 million.

Beyond the base pay, the contract structure impacts Seattle’s salary cap with a hit of about $2.1 million in his first year. This figure will continue to grow each season, peaking at approximately $3.69 million in 2028. Since the entire $11.6 million is guaranteed, Emmanwori is secured against the financial risks of injury or roster changes. This landmark deal set a new precedent for second-round picks entering the league.

Nick Emmanwori is Expected to be the Rookie in Spotlight for Seattle Seahawks

As Super Bowl LX approaches at Levi’s Stadium, all eyes are on Seattle’s standout rookie safety Nick Emmanwori. After a historic regular season where he became a cornerstone of Mike Macdonald’s top-ranked defense, Emmanwori is poised to be a deciding factor against the New England Patriots.

He enters the championship game coming off a highly productive debut season, recording 81 total tackles and 2.5 sacks per game. He has already earned a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team and is widely regarded as the new heart of a secondary reminiscent of the Legion of Boom. His versatility is his greatest strength, given that he stands at 6’3″ and weighs 220 lbs, possessing the size of a linebacker. His 4.38 speed allows him to play effectively in the box or deep coverage.

In tonight’s matchup, Emmanwori’s primary task will be neutralizing New England’s veteran threats and containing quarterback Drake Maye. With the Seahawks heavily favored to win, their defensive success hinges on Emmanwori’s ability to disrupt the Patriots’ passing lanes. He has particularly excelled in this category in the NFC Championship win over the Rams, where he notched three pass deflections.
