When it comes to NFL Achievements, Deion Sanders has done almost everything, from winning the Super Bowl to playing in the Pro Bowl. When his youngest son, Shedeur Sanders, made it to the Pro Bowl for the first time, however, the Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado Buffaloes head coach could not help but be proud of his son.
Like many Pro Bowl participants, Shedeur Sanders participated in his own official Pro Bowl photo shoot, and he posted one of those photos. One of the very first comments he received was from his Hall of Fame dad, basically telling him how proud he was of him.
“My Son!,” commented Coach Prime.

This was definitely a ‘proud dad’ moment for the elder Sanders, who is considered one of the greatest cornerbacks in history, being a multiple-time Super Bowl winner, a multiple-time Pro Bowler and a Pro Football Hall of Famer. The only thing he has not done yet is win a college national championship as a head coach; as a personal achievement has now made in having Shedeur Sanders become a Pro Bowler.
Despite this, fans have remained divided over the younger Sanders’ inclusion in the Pro Bowl, as he was included as a last-minute alternate after a few other high-profile quarterbacks suffered season-ending injuries. He is filling in for Patriots QB Drake Maye, who could not play because he will be playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday instead.
Shedeur Sanders will be the quarterback with the worst QB rating coming into the 2026 Pro Bowl. He will be playing for the AFC squad as one of the backup quarterbacks.
Deion Sanders Comments on Shedeur Sanders Doing Something He Has Never Done
While Deion Sanders has done everything in the NFL, Shedeur Sanders making it to the NFL’s version of the All-Star Game also means that his son has done something he has not yet done, and that is making it to the Pro Bowl as a rookie. He sounded off on this fact and was still very proud.
“My son did something that I didn’t do,” he said. “He made the Pro Bowl in his first year. I made it in my third year. But he made it in his first year, so he’s got that over me right now.”
He said this during an appearance on the “We Got Time Today” podcast, confirming that he only made the Pro Bowl in his third year, not as a rookie.
