Steph Curry headed to the locker room after his first-quarter stint during the Warriors’ NBA play-in tournament clash against the Clippers. Since February, Curry has dealt with a right runner’s knee injury, which sidelined him for 27 games. He returned on Apr. 5 and played four games before the postseason.
Curry looked in great shape heading into Wednesday’s do-or-die matchup against Kawhi Leonard’s team. However, a first-quarter exit to the locker room raised concerns. Curry returned to the bench, easing some of the Warriors fans, but his right knee was heavily wrapped.
In his first 8:13-minute stint, Curry scored three points, shooting 1 of 5. He didn’t return to the game at the time of writing. For now, it seems like a minor issue that held him back, but with his knee wrapped, it could be related to his existing runner’s knee issue.
Curry is on a minute restriction for this game.
