“That S**t Didn’t Work Scott Foster”: Julius Randle Makes Opinion Clear in Tunnel After Overcoming Refereeing Issues in OT Win

The Minnesota Timberwolves had their work cut out for them when they took on the Houston Rockets Wednesday night. Though the Timberwolves pulled off a thrilling 110-108 victory in overtime, they did all they could to keep their emotions in check as they dealt with what they perceived to be questionable calls.

After the game, Timberwolves beat writer Ryan Eichten reported that Julius Randle had one referee’s name on his lips as he savored his team’s win.

“Julius Randle just now walking down the hallway to the locker room: ‘That s*** didn’t work Scott Foster'”

From the looks of it, the members of the Timberwolves roster were still seething after Foster ordered one of their best players to be thrown off the court.

During the extra period, Naz Reid expressed his frustration towards a foul call. This led to Foster blowing his whistle and sending Reid out of the game at a crucial point. The 2024 Sixth Man of the Year finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

Reid’s ejection made the Timberwolves’ uphill climb even tougher. On a night when Anthony Edwards and Ayo Dosunmu were unavailable, Rudy Gobert fouled out and Jaden McDaniels left the game due to a leg injury.

Still, the remaining Wolves gutted it out and Julius Randle (24 points, six rebounds, six assists) hit a jumper with 8.8 seconds left to help his team complete a dramatic comeback in overtime.

Despite this, Randle couldn’t shake off the dismay that he felt towards Foster’s officiating.

Viral Clip Shows Julius Randle Walking Up to Scott Foster After Emotional Timberwolves Win

Even before he went into an anti-Scott Foster rant in the hallways of Target Center, Julius Randle was already aiming his vitriol directly at the senior official on the hardcourt.

A viral clip shows Randle pointing straight at Foster and walking up to the referee after the Wolves sealed their comeback victory.

Late in the fourth quarter, Foster had also called a flagrant foul on Randle for knocking down Alperen Sengun, who was setting a screen. Clearly, Randle was displeased with Foster in more ways than one.
