The San Antonio Spurs’ annual Rodeo Road Trip will start on Tuesday in Los Angeles when they take on the LA Lakers. San Antonio, 4-0 in February, looks to improve its winning run when it visits Crypto.com Arena. The Spurs could also secure the season series 3-1 with another victory.
Meanwhile, the Lakers will host Victor Wembanyama and Co. roughly 24 hours after losing 119-110 to the OKC Thunder. Luka Doncic, who has missed LA’s past two games due to a hamstring injury, is uncertain to play. LeBron James’ status is also questionable, as the last time the Lakers faced the Spurs on a back-to-back schedule, James sat out that game.

San Antonio Spurs vs LA Lakers Injury Report
Lindy Waters is out due to left knee hyperextension. Harrison Ingram, David Jones Garcia and Stanley Umude will not travel with the team following their G League assignments.

San Antonio Spurs vs LA Lakers Preview and Prediction
Preview
The last time the Spurs visited Los Angeles, Stephon Castle put on a show. The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year scattered 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in just 27 minutes. Castle is coming off a 40-point, 12-rebound and 12-assist output on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks. If he keeps his sizzling form, the Spurs could leave LA with another win.
San Antonio’s winning streak is anchored on its dominance on the board. With Victor Wembanyama and Luke Kornet healthy, the Spurs have outrebounded opponents 213-162, including 49-34 on the offensive glass. The Spurs will be tough to beat if they continue to lord the boards.
Meanwhile, the Lakers have to be wary of the Spurs’ inside-the-paint scoring. Wemby and his teammates have outscored opponents in the shaded lane 242-178 during their winning run. LA allows 50.9 points per game in the restricted area, an issue that could be highlighted against the Spurs.
If one or both of LeBron James and Luka Doncic are out, somebody must help Austin Reaves carry the scoring and playmaking burden.
Prediction
The Spurs are healthy and playing with confidence. They will likely march to a win that beats the -8.5 spread.
