Sacramento Kings vs Orlando Magic Preview and Prediction
The Sacramento Kings went through a brutal stretch earlier this year, losing 16 straight games between Jan. 18 and Feb. 21. Since then, they have shown some improvement, going 7-8, but it has not been enough to change their position in the standings. They still sit at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 19-54 record.
The Orlando Magic have had a different kind of journey. They caught fire with a seven-game winning streak from Mar. 3 to Mar. 14, showing just how dangerous they can be at their best. Unfortunately, that momentum did not last. They are now in the middle of a six-game losing streak, their worst stretch of the season, which has dropped them to 10th place in the Eastern Conference at 38-34.
The only meeting between these teams this season came on Feb. 19, and it was a one-sided affair. The Magic dominated, winning 131-94.
Maxime Raynaud stood out for the Kings with a solid 17-point, 14-rebound double-double, but it was not enough to keep things competitive. On the other side, Paolo Banchero led the way with 30 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while Anthony Black added 20 points on efficient 8-13 shooting.
This time around, the game should be more competitive given how both teams have been playing recently. However, the Magic have the edge thanks to their stronger roster and their solid home record of 21-14. The Kings have struggled badly on the road, going just 6-29, which only adds to Orlando’s advantage.
Prediction: Expect the Magic to win by 9 points.
