“Missed A Perfect Opportunity To Use Wemby”: Fans react to Jaylen Brown promoting Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day”

Jaylen Brown is hyping up the NBA playoffs through a collaboration with Universal Pictures for the upcoming release of Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated “Disclosure Day.” With the science fiction film set to drop on June 12, 2026, Brown adds more excitement following the release of his ad on Wednesday.

Fans reacted to Brown adding intrigue to the movie, which centers on UFOs, UAPs and aliens. One fan wrote:

“They missed a perfect opportunity to use Wemby instead. Lol.”

    Another fan added:

“That deer just standing there watching Jaylen hoop in the wheat field for Spielberg…. Disclosure Day promo different af.”

    One more fan continued:

“Spielberg needs the NBA audience, and Jaylen wants a post-career script.”

    Another fan commented:

“Gonna go on a limb and say that other stars declined to do this promo before they ended up choosing Jaylen.”

    One fan tweeted:

“The Summer of Spielberg is almost upon us.”

A few fans dragged San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama into the reactions due to Wemby’s “Alien” nickname. With still roughly three months to go, the Frenchman could still follow in Brown’s footsteps if the stars align.

Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth and Eve Hewson head the cast. After U.S. President Donald Trump directed the relevant federal agencies in early February to release files on extraterrestrial encounters, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Steven Spielberg’s film.

In the clip, Jaylen Brown played basketball in the middle of a wheat field while a massive deer just stared at him. He narrated in the video:

“Science is a pursuit of truth, truth that belongs to 8 billion people. … There are things that science can’t explain. I know you wouldn’t believe me if I told you, so I’m gonna show you full disclosure all at once.”

LeBron James promoted Christopher Nolan’s “Odyssey,” another eagerly anticipated movie. Spielberg and Co. chose Brown to give “Disclosure Day” even more publicity.

Jaylen Brown Collab With “Disclosure Day” Dropped After Viral Dunk Against 76ers

Jaylen Brown’s work to promote Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” dropped a day after the All-Star gave arguably the highlight dunk of the 2026 NBA playoffs.

Early in the first quarter of Game 2 between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, Brown drove past Tyrese Maxey to attack the rim. The 2024 NBA Finals MVP blew past Maxey and executed a tomahawk dunk over 76ers center Adem Bona.

Jaylen Brown’s dunk prompted the TD Garden crowd to stand up in appreciation. The highlight reel set the perfect tone for his promotional appearance, hyping up Spielberg’s movie.
