“Megan Thee Stallion Was Just Some Work for Klay Thompson to Get Through the Season”: Paul Pierce Shares True Feelings on ‘Nasty’ High-Profile Breakup

Paul Pierce shared his thoughts on Klay Thompson’s high-profile split with six-time Grammy-winning artist, Megan Thee Stallion.

Stallion shared a message on Instagram on Saturday, alleging that Thompson had cheated on her. She later confirmed her split with the four-time NBA champion in a statement given to TMZ:

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Pierce gave his thoughts on the breakup on Monday’s episode of “The Truth After Dark,” saying that Megan making the split public made it “nasty.”

“We put our relationships in the public eye, and then we put our breakups in the public eye,” Pierce said. “You don’t have to put everything on social media because it just opens up the door for nasty splits.”

“It looks to me like Megan Thee Stallion was just some work for him (Klay Thompson) to get through the season,” Pierce said. “I’m not validating his cheating.”

Pierce’s co-host, Azar Farideh, pushed back against his comments.

“Men have to stop making a woman fall in love with them and doing all the things with no real expectation to love that woman,” Farideh said. “Do not ignite the love in a woman when you’re not going to cherish it.”

“It’s been such an honor to be part of Moulin Rouge and I’ve met so many amazing people in this theater. Y’all work so hard and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time and the effort y’all put into the work,” she wrote.

Four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson has yet to break his silence on the situation.
