The Los Angeles Lakers might have to play their 13th game without Luka Doncic on Friday when they host the Brooklyn Nets at Crypto.com Arena. Doncic is questionable to face the lottery-bound Nets due to a left hamstring injury. He will likely be a game-time decision. Doncic first experienced the hamstring issue Feb. 5 against the Philadelphia 76ers. He left the game in the first half and never returned.
Doncic missed the next four games due to this ailment and returned after the All-Star break. The six-time All-Star has previously dealt with ankle, groin and left leg injuries this season, resulting in 12 combined missed games.
Doncic has played 19 consecutive games. With the Lakers coming off a gruelling six-game road trip in which Doncic played at least 38 minutes in every outing, Los Angeles may consider resting him against the Nets, who aren’t at full strength.
Brooklyn is missing Michael Porter Jr., Egor Demin, Day’Ron Sharpe and Danny Wolf. The Nets have lost their last nine games and are massive underdogs. The Lakers will likely win this regardless of Doncic’s status.

Luka Doncic has averaged 30.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 13 games against the Brooklyn Nets. He’s shot 46.6% from the field, including 42.4% from 3-point range. If Doncic plays, he could be in for another massive performance. He’s been on a tear with 11-straight 30-point games.
