The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly planning a significant price hike for their season tickets, starting from the 2026-27 season. According to ESPN, the changes come as new majority owner Mark Walter looks to get a return on his $10 billion investment.
The changes vary according to which section fans’ seats are in. A longtime Laker fan told ESPN that their ticket prices increased from $6,192 this season to $9,035 for next season. This marks a 45.9% hike.
Meanwhile, Rob Perez shared on X that the price for his Lakers season tickets has gone up by 14%. He shared that there will also be a 3% administrative fee tacked on the final price if the invoice is not settled at the start.
In a statement provided to ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers’ front office cited demand while addressing the reported changes in pricing for season tickets.
“We are adjusting season ticket pricing for next season,” the Lakers wrote. “The updates reflect the current market landscape and demand.”
When compared to the prices between 2024-2025 and 2025-2026, ESPN reported a 12.7% hike in the Lakers’ season tickets. However, the season tickets for the 2026-27 season are reportedly coming with a minimum 14% increase. Lakers fans have also noted an increase of 40% for certain sections.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ season ticket price hike was announced by the team’s president of business operations, Tim Harris. In an email sent out to fans, Harris mentioned Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and LeBron James:
“Luka’s shaping the present and future of the game in real time with vision, control and impact every night. LeBron continues to define what longevity, excellence and leadership look like in this league. Year after year, the benchmark holds. Austin’s star power has no ceiling; his dedication to the game is unmatched.”
James’ mention has led to fresh speculation among fans since his future with the team remains up in the air. LeBron is in the final season of his deal with the team and will become a free agent this summer.
