“Grabbing Hair”: Miles Bridges Looks to Bruise Isaiah “Beef Stew” Stewart’s Ego After Massive Brawl

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges and Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart capped off a tumultuous game between the two teams on Monday. In a scuffle that started off with neither player involved, Bridges and Stewart nearly caused benches from both teams to empty before cooler heads prevailed.

A photo of “Beef Stew” trying to headlock Bridges quickly went viral, prompting the Hornets’ forward to react on Instagram:

“They enforcer was grabbing hair, he wasn’t trynna box fr.”

The highly physical game came to a head with 7:09 left in the third quarter. Pistons’ All-Star big man Jalen Duren received a hard foul from Moussa Diabate. The two argued nose-to-nose before Duren swiped Diabate’s face away with his right hand.

Miles Bridges, who stood near both players, pushed Duren away. Diabate, who desperately wanted to confront his opponent, was held back by coaches and training staff from both teams.

As Jalen Duren walked away from the skirmish, Bridges kept talking to Duren before throwing a punch. As both had to be separated, Isaiah Stewart, who patiently watched the commotion, bolted from the sidelines to hit Bridges.

The two were unable to land clean punches due to the number of people trying to keep them apart. Based on video replays, it seemed like Stewart landed some shots while Bridges grabbed him around the waist.

Diabate, Duren, Bridges and Stewart were all ejected from the game.

Fans react to Miles Bridges’ belittling of Isaiah Stewart’s attempt to hit him

The brawl involving multiple Hornets and Pistons quickly went viral. Miles Bridges’ message comment on Instagram about Isaiah Stewart trying to hit him immediately gained traction.

    One fan said:

“He’s the last person who should be talking lol.”

    Another fan added:

“He physically abused his girlfriend idgaf why he posts on Instagram.”

    One more fan continued:

“Wait. You went low trying to scoop him & he put a headlock on you Clown. You knew what that was.”

    Another fan commented:

“Stew had Bridges bent and his head near his groin just get off the internet, bro.”

    One fan tweeted:

“Man shot for takedown, talking about anyone tryna box is comedy.”

The NBA suspended Miles Bridges for 30 games in 2023 due to domestic violence charges. Isaiah Stewart has been involved in multiple on-court scuffles before. Stewart infamously went after LeBron James during a Pistons-Lakers game in 2021.

With Bridges and Stewart back in the limelight for the wrong reasons, fans could not hold back from trolling both.
