Does Draymond Green Have a “Major Beef” With Victor Wembanyama? Warriors Star Makes Thoughts Absolutely Clear

Draymond Green and Victor Wembanyama did not have just basketball between them when they met in the regular season. When the Golden State Warriors played against the San Antonio Spurs for the first time, tempers flared between the two defensive giants in the fourth quarter. While they share heated paint battles on the court, Green clearly expressed his feelings on “major beef” with the 7-foot-4 center.

Complex Bets shared a post on Instagram, highlighting the Warriors veteran’s recent statement on Wemby’s flagrant foul on Naz Reid. The Spurs center was ejected from Game 4, and the NBA even launched an investigation into the matter. However, no suspensions or fines were announced. Green said:

“What if it was [Reid] elbowing Wemby?… That wasn’t a mistake. Standards have been set. Fines have happened… For there not be even be a fine is crazy.”

    The post’s heading read:

“Draymond Green has major beef with Wemby not being suspended.”

The post even shared the 4-time NBA champions’ career’s 24 ejections and six suspensions. All in all, he paid $1,044,000 in fines to the league for his altercations.

Green shared the post on his Instagram story and clarified his stance on the matter. He criticized the social media channel for misinterpreting his statement and wrote:

    “Major beef?!?

Yall be wanting me to care too much… I DON’T. I share my thoughts and keep it pushing. Stop click baiting with your wording.”

Draymond Green has been notorious for trash-talking and his physical defense throughout his NBA career. The 2016-17 DPOY is also known for openly expressing his thoughts on everything related to the NBA on his podcast.

“It was 2 games ago,” Victor Wembanyama looks to move on after Game 4 incident

Victor Wembanyama stated that he looked to move on from the Game 4 incident and help his team win the title. When he was asked if he thought about his elbowing contact with Naz Reid, he said:

“It was 2 games ago. It’s the playoffs…I was focused on the game today and now I’m focusing on the game in Minnesota in 3 days. It’s the playoffs. We got to move on and I got to care about my team.”

The Spurs have taken a 3-2 lead in the conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the only thing on Wemby’s mind right now is to close this series, like he said. The bench came up big in the last game, as Dylan Harper scored 12 points and reigning Sixth Man of the Year Keldon Johnson scored 21 points.

Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs will now meet the Wolves for Game 6 on Friday, May 15, at Target Center.
