The Detroit Pistons enter Saturday’s clash against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a massive 11-player injury report headlined by Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson. Cunningham remains out due to a collapsed lung. He was diagnosed with the ailment on March 18 and is out for an extended period.
Meanwhile, his starting teammates Jalen Duren, Ausar Thompson, Tobias Harris and Duncan Robinson could join him on the sidelines, too. All four are questionable and likely game-time decisions for the 5:30 p.m. ET game.
Duren is listed, citing right knee injury management. He was on the injury report due to the same reason in February. Thompson is managing a right ankle injury that he’s been nursing over the past month. Harris is dealing with left hip soreness and Robinson has a right hip strain.
Caris LeVert and Marcus Sasser are probable and more likely to play. LeVert is dealing with right knee tendinopathy and Sasser has a right hip strain. Isaiah Stewart is the other injured player on the list, who remains out alongside Cade Cunningham. Stewart is nursing a left calf strain and has been out since March 14.
Isaac Jones and Bobi Klintman are the other absentees. However, they aren’t injured. Jones and Klintman are with the G League team.
The Detroit Pistons are playing a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday against the OKC Thunder and Toronto Raptors, so they might consider resting their starters on Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which led to the massive injury list. Detroit has already clinched a playoff spot and has a four-game separation at the top of the East.
