“Bronny Going Nuts Right Now”: LeBron James Hails Son and Lakers Teammate Bronny James Following Impressive G League Stint

LeBron James watched his son Bronny James lead the South Bay Lakers to a 140-132 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday. With the LA Lakers having an off night, the four-time MVP focused his attention on his son’s play in the G League.

Before the game ended, the 41-year-old NBA superstar tweeted his appreciation of the younger James’ performance:

“Bronny going NUTS right now!!! WOW.”

Bronny James finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal. He made 9 of 12 shots, including 6 of 8 from behind the arc. What was impressive about the 21-year-old guard’s display was his clutch shooting in the fourth quarter.

With the score at 119 apiece, James broke the tie with a 27-footer that stunned the crowd at the UCLA Health Training Center. A few positions later, he added another triple from the same distance to push South Bay’s lead to 125-119. After Sioux Falls scored, James connected on another 3-pointer that had the fans going wild.

LeBron James’ son sealed his electric shooting with a steal, two free throws and a rebound to close the game. The South Bay Lakers are now 14-0 with Bronny in the lineup. South Bay’s victory also kept them in the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference with a 26-10 record, two games ahead of No. 2 Mexico City Capitanes (24-12).

LeBron James Hyped for Arizona’s Elite 8 Win Against Purdue

With one eye on Bronny James’ G League game, LeBron James also had his attention on Arizona’s Elite Eight showdown against Purdue in the NCAA tournament. The Jameses are rooting for Arizona to win the championship despite Bryce James redshirting his first year with the Wildcats.

After the No.1-ranked Wildcats downed No. 2 Purdue 79-64, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer tweeted his excitement:

    “DOWN!!!! Final 4 BOUND, @ArizonaMBB.”

The Boilermakers finished the first half with a 38-31 lead before the Wildcats dominated the next half 48-26 to earn the thrilling win. Arizona’s victory pushes the team to the Final Four for the first time in 25 years, a big reason for LeBron James’ excitement.

Arizona is now on a 13-game winning streak as it waits for the winner of the showdown between No. 1 Michigan and No. 6 Tennessee on Sunday.
