Alperen Sengun takes responsibility for the Houston Rockets’ Game 1 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers
After going down against the Lakers, Sengun sat down for a media session and acknowledged his fault in the loss, citing his poor shot selection at times.
“Just me missing the shots, shots I was making. It happens. It was the first away game. It’s going to come back,” Sengun said. “I shouldn’t have shot so fast, but I did. It happens.”
The Rockets were without Kevin Durant in Game 1, who was ruled out before tip-off with a knee contusion. Speaking on Durant’s absence, Sengun said:
“We missed him for sure tonight, and hopefully we see him soon.”
On the other hand, the Lakers are expected to play this series without their starting guards, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, presenting a significant challenge for 41-year-old LeBron James.
