According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the Miami (OH) 2024 football schedule is the fifth-most difficult in the MAC. While there are challenges to overcome when conference play gets underway, the out-of-conference slate plays a part in determining the difficulty the RedHawks face this season. Of their four games, the UMass Minutemen could be the only win for Martin’s men.
Two of their four out-of-conference matchups are against Power Five opposition, with a road game against the Northwestern Wildcats and a visit from the Cincinnati Bearcats to open the season. However, it’s the Week 4 clash with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend that figures to be the toughest game on the Miami (OH) 2024 football schedule.
The presence of the Toledo Rockets and Ohio Bobcats on the schedule makes the RedHawks’ task of repeating as MAC champions potentially tricky. Miami (OH) hasn’t won in Toledo since 2002, and although they defeated the Rockets in the title game last fall, they lost in the regular season. They also face an Eastern Michigan Eagles team to which they’ve lost the last two.

The Ball State Cardinals and Bowling Green Falcons round out the road games on the Miami (OH) football schedule. Aside from the matchup with the Bobcats, the home slate is much more forgiving, with clashes against the Central Michigan Chippewas, Kent State Golden Flashes, and the Northern Illinois Huskies presenting good opportunities to put wins on the board.
