Todd Golden’s Florida Gators 2025-26 season shouldn’t be considered a success by the standards the coach has built at the program. While they managed to maintain their regular-season dominance of the SEC, bagging another regular-season conference title, their SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament participations were a disappointment.
In the SEC Tournament, they fell in the semifinals to the Vanderbilt Commodores, who, in turn, lost to Arkansas in the title game. That was worrisome, but not necessarily a deal breaker for the then-reigning national champions. The true debacle for Todd Golden’s men came in the NCAA Tournament, where they fell as early as the second round to the Iowa Hawkeyes 72-73.
It’s clear something needs to be revamped at Gainsville if they want to challenge for the Natty once more, but looking at their transfer portal and recruiting activity in 2026, it would be safe to say they don’t seem to have done much.
