One of the most highly anticipated Sweet 16 encounters this week pits the Duke Blue Devils against the St. John’s Red Storm for a spot in the Elite Eight.
The Blue Devils reached this stage after dismantling No. 16 Siena and No. 9 TCU in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament, respectively. On the other hand, St. John’s path included defeating Northern Iowa in the first round, followed by a close win over Kansas in the second.
Ahead of the Sweet 16 matchup, let’s take a look at the injury report of both teams.
Duke vs. St. John’s Injury Report
Duke Blue Devils Injury Report
Guard Caleb Foster is questionable for this game due to a foot injury. He underwent surgery on March 8 and has not played since early March. There’s a very slim chance he plays this game. Because of his injury, Duke has been without a point guard all tournament.
“When he first got hurt, I felt there was more like one in a million. … Since that, since he got hurt, the way he’s worked, the chances have continued to increase. I even think there’s an outside chance maybe for this Friday,” Duke head coach Jon Scheyer told CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Center Ifeanyi Ufochukwu has been out since early December with an undisclosed injury. He is out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
Guard Sebastian Wilkins has already decided to redshirt this season, so he is not available for this game.
Patrick Ngongba II is dealing with foot soreness and returned recently after missing multiple games. He played limited minutes in the last game and was seen wearing a walking boot as a precaution. He is expected to play, though.
St. John’s Red Storm Injury Report
Guard Casper Pohto has been out since December because of a hip injury. He’s slated to miss the rest of the season.
Forward Imran Suljanovic suffered a dislocated patella in October and will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
