    Will Zalatoris opened up about his plans on the PGA Tour after an impressive game at the American Express 2026. The American golfer had an impressive time last week as he started the new season.

    He was tied for 18th place at the PGA Tour event. In the post-round press conference, Zalatoris talked about his plans on the Tour.

    “You can’t get comfortable out here,” he said. “You got earn it every single week. Just because I finished top 20 doesn’t mean that I’ve got a start in a couple weeks, so I got keep earning it.”

    “…….Definitely. I knew there was going to be some really good things coming after shaking off the rust. I even said it to Joel, my caddie, after Friday, I was 5-over through the first 27, and then played my last 45 in 12-under. So it’s there. I just got to keep playing. Like I said, whenever my name gets called next I’ll be there,” he added.

     


    In the last season, Will Zalatoris has played in 11 events and made the cut in nine of them. He recorded some impressive finishes in the last season, which included T12 at The American Express, T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and T30 at The Players Championship. It would be interesting to see how things would unfold for him in 2026.

    Will Zalatoris Opens Up About His Performance at the American Express 2026

    Will Zalatoris kick-started his outing at The American Express 2026 with an opening round at the La Quinta Country Club. He teed it off on the tenth hole. He made eight birdies and one bogey for a round of 7-under 65. It was followed by the next round in which he carded 2-under 70 at the Nicklaus Tournament Course.

    After two days, he played the third round at the Pete Dye Stadium Course and carded four birdies and two bogeys for a round of 2-under 70. He was pretty impressive in the final round of the PGA Tour event, which he played at the Pete Dye Stadium Course. He carded nine birdies and one bogey for a round of 8-under 64.

    Will Zalatoris opened up about his performance in the post-round press conference.

    “Really good, besides a couple holes on the Nicklaus Course,” he said (via ASAP Sports). “I putted really well, been working with Blair Phillips at home. It’s been a massive change.

    “Taking ownership on the putting green, and I think this year you’re going to see a massive difference in my putting this year in general. Yeah, it’s nice to, any 64 on Sunday feels pretty good, especially after the last three years I’ve been through,” he added.

    Scottie Scheffler won The American Express 2026. He played the four rounds of 63, 64, 68, and 66 and settled with a score of 27-under. He registered a four-stroke win in the game.
