It’s usually a happy sight whenever Tiger Woods is spotted walking on the golf course during the week of a PGA Tour event. The same happy sight was on display when Woods, who is the host of The Genesis Invitational, was spotted walking on the golf course at Riviera Country Club.

Not only did Woods walk on the golf course, but the 15-time Major champion also had a brief conversation with Collin Morikawa, who won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. On X, the official handle of TaylorMade Golf uploaded a video in which Woods was seen approaching Morikawa while the latter was hitting a shot.

After Morikawa finished hitting the shot, Woods said, “Good shot!” Morikawa responded by saying, “For you,” after which Woods replied, “Hell of a shot from there. I would’ve hit five wood.” Woods and Morikwa then embraced each other, after which the former congratulated Morikwa for his win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The 50-year-old said, “Congratulations, brother. You look good, dude.

Collin Morikawa looked happy and was smiling throughout his interaction with Tiger Woods. After all, Morikawa, by his own admission, grew up idolizing Woods. In an interview before the 2021 Dubai Desert Classic, Morikawa mentioned he grew up watching Woods and was happy that he could make the dream of playing with Woods on the PGA Tour a reality.

Tiger Woods also dropped a potential hint on his return to golf recently

The last time golf fans saw Tiger Woods compete in a tournament was at The Open in 2024. In that tournament, which was held at the Royal Troon, Woods had to face a massive setback as he missed the cut. Since then, Woods hasn’t competed in any tournament, mainly due to constant injuries.

Recently, the 5-time Masters champion addressed a press conference ahead of The Genesis Invitational. During this press conference, Woods, who suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in 2025, was asked if the Masters at Augusta was off the table for him based on his recovery. The legendary golfer answered this question with a one-word response, ‘no,’ which was followed by a bright smile.

With his answer, Tiger Woods has left the possibility of playing at Augusta National this year open. If Woods decides to play at The Masters this year, it will be the first time he has teed off at Augusta since 2024. The last time Woods played at this iconic golf course, he made the cut and finished in 60th place.

While a return to a Major championship like the Masters will always be exciting, Tiger Woods also has the option of playing on the PGA Tour Champions, now that he is 50. In his press conference ahead of The Genesis Invitational, Woods too did not rule out playing on the senior circuit as he revealed he’s thought about playing in a cart.
