There has been a lot of talk all around the world that Tiger Woods is likely to return to competitive tournaments. The golfer has hinted that he could return to the PGA Tour or the Champions Tour, and that he may even play in the Masters, the first major of the season. While it was recently indirectly confirmed that Woods will make his 27th start at the Augusta National in April, his participation in the Champions Tour remains uncertain.
The 13-time PGA Tour Champions winner, Jerry Kelly, recently discussed Tiger Woods’ prospective involvement in the Seniors Tour and how huge it would be if it happened. Kelly stated that he will definitely talk to Woods about making his Seniors Tour debut and reigniting all of his old rivalries. According to Golf Week, at the 2026 Cologuard Classic, Kelly commented,
“It would be huge. I mean, I would love to be able to get Tiger to Tucson. That would be a ton of fun. I know what his schedule’s like around this time with the major, Augusta coming up, and things like that. I will certainly ask him. He will graciously tell me exactly what he’s thinking on the matter, no question. And I wouldn’t put words in his mouth. I’d love to have him come.”
While the Masters’ official website confirms that Woods will participate in the competition, the golfer has continued to send contradictory signals. The 82-time PGA Tour winner continues to say that things are out of order for him.
Tiger Woods admits that disc replacement is “not a lot of fun”

The 15-time major winner, Tiger Woods, was recently present at the TGL Season 2 Semi-Finals on March 17. During the post-round conference, Woods went on to detail his continuing recuperation sessions and how, while he can sometimes do well, he can also fall back to square one. The golfer also stated that he will take time to recover because he has previously undergone numerous back surgeries.
According to Asap Sports, Woods stated,
“I said I’ve been working on it. Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days. Disk replacement is not a lot of fun. So Will Zalatoris went through it; he had two levels done, and it takes time. So as I said, I’ve had a lot of procedures prior to that, so the body doesn’t quite heal like it did when I was 24. Doesn’t quite bounce back. So I have good days when I can pretty much do anything, and other days where it’s hard to just to move around.”
According to reports, Tiger Woods will not be playing in the TGL finals, which will take place on Monday, March 23, and instead, Kevin Kisner will take over for the season’s first best-of-three TGL final series.
