The 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open is still going on, and only almost half of the 135 golfers who began their campaign in the event remain in the field for the weekend game. The 36-hole cut in this tournament was 2 under par, and while 65 golfers were only slated to play the weekend game, due to a tight leaderboard, 75 of them were able to qualify.

Among the names who have missed the cut in the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open, there are some big names, and here are five of them:

    #5 Marco Penge

2026 is Marco Penge’s debut year on the PGA Tour, and his performance thus far has been inconsistent. While Penge has had some impressive results, he has failed to make the 36-hole cut at the Houston Open. The golfer had a great opening round of 4 under par, but then followed it up with a 3 over par round, bringing his total score to 1 under par, missing the cut by one shot.

    #4 Rickie Fowler

Rickie Fowler has been singled out as one of the top players who has yet to qualify for the 2026 Masters. Fowler has not been in great form in recent weeks, and he had a similar campaign at the Texas Children’s Houston Open as Marco Penge did. Fowler began with an opening round of 3 under par, putting him in a good position on the leaderboard, but he later recorded a 3 over par in Round 2 to finish with an even par and miss the cut.

    #3 Wyndham Clark

Wyndham Clark’s first round at the Texas Children’s Houston Open was nothing short of dramatic. The golfer finished with 5 bogeys, 2 birdies, 1 eagle, and 2 double bogeys, for a total of 4 over par. Clark needed to cover a lot of ground on the second day, which he did not do, and his campaign ended at the Memorial Golf Course after only two rounds with a total score of two over par, four strokes less than the cut.

    #2 Ryan Fox

Ryan Fox, the OWGR’s 45th-ranked golfer, has failed horribly in his Memorial attempt. Fox was unable to perform to his full potential throughout the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open, shooting 2 over par in his first round. Following that, in the second round, he managed to get only one over par, finishing with a total score of three under par, missing the cut by five strokes.

    #1 Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka was one of the most anticipated players for the 2026 Texas Children’s Houston Open, but his performance in the tournament was absolutely contrary. During Round 1, Koepka fired a disastrous 5 over par, including three big double bogeys. Even in round two, Koepka did not have a spectacular 18 holes, finishing 1 under par, making his 36-hole score at the 2026 Houston Open 4 over par.
