The 2026 Pebble Beach Pro-Am is currently pretty hyped up in the golf world. The tournament is the first PGA Tour signature event of the season, and several big names will be taking part in the event, making it bigger than a normal tournament. Furthermore, the event also gives an opportunity for amateur golfers to shine as they compete in the first two rounds alongside professionals.
A total of 80 pairs will be formed, with the event’s 80 professional players already decided. The PGA Tour communications department has even posted about this list on their X page, with a message hyping up the 2026 Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The caption on this post said,
“The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the fifth event of the 2026 PGA TOUR season and the first Signature Event. The field will be finalized following the WM Phoenix Open with opportunities to qualify through the Aon Swing 5 and top 30 in the Official World Golf Ranking.”
The final field changes have already been announced on the PGA Tour Communication page, with Sahith Theegala receiving a sponsor exemption and Jake Knapp winning the Aon Swing 5 to gain entry into the tournament. In addition to these two golfers, Alex Smalley has also made it into the field.
Apart from all of these golfers, Rory McIlroy is also someone fans will be keeping an eye on as the Pebble Beach Pro-Am is his first PGA tournament of the season. Walking into the event, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler appears to be the popular pick to win the whole thing, having maintained his red-hot form in recent tournaments.
