Jon Rahm scored one of the most stunning achievements at the inaugural LIV Golf Showcase. The event was held recently to appreciate the golfers who had some jaw-dropping moments or a successful season in 2025. The awards at this year’s LIV Golf Showcase were divided into three categories: player-voted awards, fan-voted awards, and committee-voted awards. Surprisingly, Jon Rahm won the Player Voted Award for Clutch Player of the Year.

The fact that Rahm received this title was totally unexpected, given that he was winless in the 2025 season. But on the other hand, the golfer has managed to secure 13 top 10s in 14 starts on the LIV circuit, with the 2025 LIV Golf Dallas being the only tournament he missed, and he finished 11th there as well. NUCLR Golf reported on Rahm’s stunning victory in an X post that also featured all of the winners. A small part of this post reads,

“🚨⛳️🏆 #AWARDS — LIV Golf had its award show last night, and it produced one surprise winner in Jon Rahm, who took home ‘Clutch Player of the Year’ honors after going winless on the season.”

Aside from this category, there were four more categories in the Player Voted Awards at the LIV Golf Showcase, with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award being the most significant. Joaquin Niemann was the obvious candidate to win this one because he had one of the most successful seasons in 2025, winning five times in total. These victories came in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, Virginia, and the United Kingdom.
