The golf fans who love to watch the game live will be looking to make their way to Bay Hill Golf Course for the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational. The tournament is a signature event for the circuit, with some of the best names set to compete. Many fans will visit the course to watch the tournament live, and the course that will host the event has announced the policies and other restrictions for them.
The Bay Hill Golf Club and Lodge is one of Central Florida’s largest golf properties, owned by the iconic Arnold Palmer. The 62-time PGA Tour winner and his design team made many exclusive adjustments to the course to make it even more demanding for golfers and worthy of hosting a flagship event. Interestingly, currently, the course has a capacity of 40,000 to 60,000 spectators.
The course has released the bag restrictions for the tournament, stating that just four types of bags will be permitted for supporters to bring on the course. Allowable bags are a 6”x6”x6” little bag, a small clear bag, a 1-gallon plastic freezer bag, medically required bags, and diaper bags. On the other hand, backpacks, camera bags, mesh bags, handbags, folding chair bags, and other similar items are prohibited on the course.
Aside from that, fans will not be able to carry glass cups or infant bottles onto the course. Adding to that, fans are also not permitted to bring pyrotechnics, pointers, laptops, oversized footrests or chairs, pets, video cameras, DSLR cameras, selfie sticks, beverage cartans, radios, TVs, posters, or drones onto the golf course in order to avoid any interference with the game.
What is the mobile phone policy at the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational?

The PGA Tour is often serious about mobile phone rules for tournaments on the circuit. The tour does not want supporters to distract players, caddies, or even the media from the game, because golf requires the individual’s undivided attention. This is why the rigorous conditions, such as fans keeping their phones on mute and only taking calls in a restricted location, will apply to the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational as well.
Furthermore, the tour prohibits spectators from taking footage shot by shot of any golfer or hole. Not only that, but supporters are not permitted to live-stream any aspect of the tournament on their social media platforms. While there are several restrictions on filming during the tournament, the circuit does allow fans to take video in some manner on the golf course. The PGA has stated unequivocally that if a fan is seen breaking the rules, his or her tickets would be revoked immediately.
The 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational will feature 72 participants in the first two rounds, followed by a 36-hole cut to the 50 best golfers for the weekend tournament.
