Amanda Balionis is spending some time away from work, and she shared a look at her beach trip through a new Instagram post. The CBS Sports reporter uploaded a set of photos from Cabo, where she was seen relaxing by the ocean.
Balionis posted a 17-photo carousel on Monday, January 12. In the first picture, she stood near the shoreline wearing a red swimsuit, a black wrap skirt, a straw hat, and sunglasses. She was also holding a can of tequila.
She captioned the post, “From Cabo with love (y un poco de tequila) 💋,” which translates to “From Cabo with love and a little bit of tequila.”
This is Balionis’s first trip of 2026. She later shared the post on her Instagram story and wrote about why she prefers traveling in mid-January instead of around New Year’s.
“ALSO I feel like this trip unlocked a cheat code for me…assuming you can arrange your PTO accordingly..a trip mid-January I think is way better than planning vacation over New Years?? Actually feeling reset/relaxed and having a mid-January trip to look forward to helped with the holiday come down big time,” she wrote.
Balionis often makes time for travel despite her busy schedule. One of her last trips in 2025 was to Turkey, where she traveled with her mother, Dana.
Amanda Balionis calls the NFL “the absolute best” after Myles Garrett’s record
Amanda Balionis shared her excitement after seeing Myles Garrett set a new NFL record in the Cleveland Browns’ final game of the season. The CBS Sports sideline reporter posted her reaction from the field after the dramatic Week 18 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, which also marked the end of the 2024–25 regular season on January 5, 2025.
After the game at Paycor Stadium, Balionis uploaded a photo of herself conducting a postgame interview. In the caption, she spoke about how the record was broken late in the game and how tense the final moments were.
“A record that held for nearly a quarter of a century has officially been reset by @flash_garrett and my gawd was it fun to watch it all unfold. It took the last quarter in the last game of the season to reach sack #23 and then a Browns win that came down to the final seconds to claim. This game is the absolute best,” Balionis wrote.
Balionis covered Week 18 as part of her NFL duties with CBS Sports. She also remained a regular presence on the network’s golf coverage, including major events during the 2025 season.
She started her career covering high school sports for Verizon Fios Channel 1 and MSG Networks. In 2011, she joined the PGA Tour as a reporter and host. CBS Sports hired her in 2017, first as a part-time golf reporter, before promoting her to a full-time role that included college football and NFL coverage.
