A winnable non-conference slate appears ripe for the picking for ECU in 2024. Norfolk State enters the picture early to iron on the kinks of what should be a new-look roster in Week 1.
Then, Old Dominion and Appalachian State offer up unique challenges in their own right, but could very well be winnable games. Week 4, however, is a different story as Liberty will play host to ECU and could be riding a win streak up to that point that dates back to their undefeated 2023 season.
For their AAC schedule, ECU has to face off against UTSA at home, easily their toughest game on paper at this point for 2024. They get out of three incredibly tough tests in 2024 without playing Memphis or Tulane.
