The video game and college football world continue to receive positive news around the upcoming re-release of EA Sports College Football, the wildly popular college football video game. While we’ve heard confirmation of all 134 teams being ‘in the game,’ news broke on Thursday of the returning voices to the game and some new sounds to get used to.
Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler Headlines EA Sports College Football 25 Announcers
Fans of the video game series are certainly familiar with Kirk Herbstreit’s involvement in the game from 11 years ago. However, until now, we’ve been waiting for news of the returning voices, if any, and who was set to be the new voices, if any, for this version of the game.

Herbstreit, who called the last iteration of the game as the color commentator, was joined by Brad Nessler in the booth with Rece Davis and David Pollack for pre-game and halftime updates. Through some social media posts, it appears that a smattering of those voices are set to return.
With a simple post on X on Thursday, Herbstreit confirmed that he’ll return to the game.
I’m so excited to FINALLY announce that I’m part of @EASPORTSCollege. I’m proud to be a partner and one of the voices of the game once again – my 14th year in that role. #CFB25 #EAPartner https://t.co/zVKXxwtKw5

Herbstreit stating he’ll be one of the voices of the game again means he’ll join the fray for the 14th time. By far, he is a leading figure among voices for EA Sports’ college products.
However, who he’ll be joined by is still up for grabs.
Which Voices Will Be in EA Sports College Football 25?
Herbstreit won’t be alone, either. ESPN’s top duo of Chris Fowler and Herbstreit will both be in EA Sports College Football 25, both revealing the news on social media together. Herbstreit’s longtime partner on ESPN College GameDay and their Saturday night broadcast will join him in the broadcast booth for the game.
I’m in the Game! Today, I can finally make it official. I am honored to be one of the voices in #CFB25 ! Wait until you see this game! #EAPartner https://t.co/mdLRo77QZR
— Chris Fowler (@cbfowler) February 22, 2024
Fowler serves as Herbstreit’s play-by-play analyst during the Saturday primetime offering on ESPN, pairing together to make one of the sports’ most notable announce crews. Having served previously as the host of College GameDay, Herbstreit and Fowler have a rich history of working together.
