Dante Moore Already Turning Heads During Oregon Spring Camp

As the Oregon Ducks prepare for the 2025 season, all eyes are on sophomore QB Dante Moore, who is already making an impression in the spring camp. After transferring from the UCLA Bruins and redshirting the 2024 season behind Dillon Gabriel, Moore is expected to take the reins of Oregon’s high-powered offense.

Oregon Football Buzzing as Dante Moore Impresses Early in Spring Camp

Moore didn’t see much of the field in the 2024 season, but expectations are high for him this season. He’s fully aware and has poured everything into the offseason—cutting weight, increasing speed, and making the most of spring camp.

While there is less footage from spring camp, a video shared on X by Oregon Updates on April 24 captured fans’ attention. Moore unleashed a 50-plus yard pass to Gary Bryant, and they loved it.

As a five-star recruit and one of the highly-rated QB prospects in the country, Moore came to college equipped with all the tools. At 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, the 19-year-old has the ideal size, arm strength, and football IQ to make an impact at this level.

However, his freshman season at UCLA was a wake-up call that raw talent alone isn’t enough to excel. Over nine games, the QB threw for 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions, getting sacked 16 times.

The spring game this Saturday, April 26, sets the stage for players to show who’s next. Ducks’ fans will see all the returners and newcomers show off what they can do and where they’ve improved this offseason.

On the surface, Moore might not seem like an obvious breakout candidate, given that many already consider him the team’s starting QB. However, with limited action since his freshman year at UCLA, this scrimmage offers him a golden opportunity to make a statement. Don’t be surprised if he steals the show.
