Texas A&M Players To Miss the Texas Bowl
Hit arguably the hardest by the transfer portal this offseason, the Texas A&M roster is a shell of what it once was this season. With any new head coaching situation, that is expected, but for A&M, the mass exodus of former high-profile recruits is sure to hurt in this game.
Former starting QB Max Johnson left for North Carolina, taking his brother and TE Jake Johnson with him. Conner Weigman is out with his injury and top target Evan Stewart is in the transfer portal. Starting right tackle Chase Bisontis is a key missing piece as well.

On defense, however, the Aggies are lacking some of the biggest players in the country. Former five-star and No. 1 overall recruit Walter Nolen is off to Ole Miss and Micaiah Overton, LT Overton, and Fadil Diggs have taken their talent to the portal as well.
Starting defensive backs Deuce Harmon and Tyreek Chappell will need to be replaced and there is hardly any depth to do so. The Aggies will be trotting out a bevy of unknown players both as starters and as depth pieces against Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State Players To Miss the Texas Bowl
The Cowboys are in a completely different situation than A&M. They retain the majority of their roster that took them to the Big 12 Championship Game.
Head coach Mike Gundy’s son Gunnar Gundy hit the portal and Jaden Nixon (190+ yards, 1 TD), Jaden Bray (380+ yards, 2 TD) and Jaden Nixon (120+ yards, 1 TD), are the biggest hurdles to overcome.
But with this a run-first program and the all-world Ollie Gordon scheduled to be in action once again, the numbers could be historic for Gordon against an A&M defense that’s lacking a ton of players. Alan Bowman and Gordon present a unique backfield duo of talent and veteran leadership that could go a long way against an A&M team that doesn’t possess many returning snaps.
