LSU star Flau’Jae Johnson appears ready to make the next step to pro basketball whenever she chooses — but who’s supporting her along the way?

Exploring LSU Star Flau’Jae Johnson’s Parents
Johnson had a terrific career with the Tigers, averaging 14.8 ppg and 5.7 rpg across three seasons in Baton Rouge.
Now that she is draft eligible, she faces a tough decision of whether to enter the WNBA Draft or stay with LSU and make another run at a national championship. She was one of the focal points of LSU’s offense during the 2024-25 season, in which she scored 18.6 ppg and grabbed 5.6 rpg while shooting 46.8% from the field.
The junior guard scored 28 points in the Tigers’ Elite Eight loss to the top-seeded UCLA Bruins, showing her full scoring repertoire.
Johnson is a hooper and rapper. She is currently signed to a deal with Roc Nation.
Her family is a huge part of her life; her mom is her rap manager. Lakia Brooks is also an entrepreneur from Atlanta, GA.
Johnson’s father, Jason Johnson, was also a rapper and went by the name Camouflage. He tragically passed away after being shot and killed in May of 2003, about six months before her daughter’s birth. The case remains unsolved.
According to Lakia, their daughters’ name was Jason’s idea.
