UConn Huskies star Azzi Fudd reacted to her father’s recent gesture as he watched her regular-season game. On Saturday, Fudd and the rest of coach Geno Auriemma‘s Huskies faced coach Gavin Peterson’s Utah Utes for their non-conference schedule of the 2025-26 college basketball campaign on their home court, the Mohegan Sun Arena in Hartford, Connecticut.
At one point in the affair, as posted by @overtimewbb on Instagram, a video surfaced of Tim Fudd, Azzi Fudd‘s father, doing the viral “6-7” pose with his hands as he exerted all his effort to put both hands up and down. The video was credited to have come from TikTok user @oliviahammond_, which also shows Azzi Fudd’s mother, Katie, doing it more subtly.
With the moment doing the rounds of reactions all over social media from women’s collegiate hoops fans and spectators, Azzi Fudd herself reacted to the video with a comment on @oliviahammond_’s video on TikTok, which was then later shown on @overtimewbb on Instagram’s upload. Fudd went with an eight-word reaction that jokingly implies that she cannot take her father seriously after the move.
“Bro, genuinely unsure what is wrong with him,” Fudd was quoted as saying with a trio of laughing emojis.
“Saw mom hit the subtle 6-7 ayyyyy 🤣 @azzi35 (via @oliviahammond_),” @overtimewbb on Instagram captioned with a laughing emoji.

Nevertheless, much to the delight of Tim and Katie Fudd along with the rest of the Huskies faithful, Azzi Fudd top-scored for the game as she finished with 24 points on a highly-efficient 9-of-11 overall clip, to go along with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and a block in 27 minutes of action. She is in her fifth and final year with the team, as she looks to be a lottery pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft next year.
