Azzi Fudd has been one of the most talented players in college basketball for a while now. She has struggled with injuries all her college career. Fudd was able to play 25 games in her freshman season. Her real injury struggles increased when she entered her sophomore season. Her game time was limited to just 15 games and then in junior season she was ruled out for the whole season due to ACL injury.
Even after all that time away from action, her shooting prowess was known to the world. So much so that even Stephen Curry honored her with one of the highest praises ever. Steph called her jumper even more beautiful than his. Recently, Curry’s trainer, Brandon Payne, also commented on Fudd’s shot.

“There aren’t many better [shots] than hers in the world, whether it’s men or women. She is the elite of the elite. She always has her hands ready,” Steph Curry’s trainer, Brandon Payne said.
“She’s always, you know, down in a loaded position, ready to catch the ball… that’s like her superpower, how quick she can get her shots off, and how quickly she gets into her shot. … She’s one of the best shooters I’ve been around,” basketball trainer, Pierre Newton talked about Azzi Fudd’s shooting form.
Azzi Fudd also received the best praise she could in her career from Steph Curry when she appeared on a Good Morning America in April, 2025. Host recalled how Steph once admitted that he was jealous of Azzi’s shooting form and it is prettier than his.
Azzi reacted and said, “I think that just feels wrong to say. I mean mine not, it is like the prettiest jump shot but Steph’s like top tier.”
