Former UConn star Paige Bueckers has taken the WNBA by storm. She has quickly established herself as one of the top players in the league and could be a star in the sport for years to come. On Thursday, a clip of Paige Bueckers talking about her shoe choice for each game was posted on the ESPNW Instagram account. In the clip, she spoke about what she likes in a shoe and how she let a teammate choose her shoes for that game for her.
“The fit, the feel, of course, and just the look, I love a pretty shoe,” Bueckers said. “It’s got the colors, the pretty colors. I guess that makes it all those things. I wore the Books last time we came out here. I put a collection of Books together. I actually let Azzi choose my shoe, so she chose the color but it was definitely gonna be a Book color. All time favorite shoe, I would say the Nike Kyries, all the numbers. Those are my favorites.”

After the clip was posted, one of the biggest stars in the NBA, Golden State star Steph Curry, posted in the comments with an eyebrow-raising comment. He mentioned his personal sneaker brand and implied they could partner up in the future.
“Well…. sounds like Curry Brand is in your future then,” Curry wrote.

Paige Bueckers Wore Devin Booker Shoes During the Dallas Wings’ Game Against the Phoenix Mercury
In the clip, Paige Bueckers is referencing the shoes she is wearing as those from Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker. She wore them in the Wings game against the Phoenix Mercury on Monday. Unfortunately for the Wings, they were not able to come out on top. Instead, they lost the game 102-72. Bueckers did not have a strong game, only scoring 11 points and shooting 3 for 11 from the field.
It was the second game in a row for the Wings against Phoenix. They had defeated the Mercury on July 3 at home before traveling to Phoenix to play them on the road. In the first game, Dallas came out on top, winning 98-89. In that game, Bueckers had a much more impressive performance, putting up 23 points and going 8 for 11 from the field.
Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings are in action next on Sunday against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
