“Tired of All the Ungrateful Resentment” – Skip Bayless Questions Timing Of Caitlin Clark’s Injury After Months Of Backlash

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has struggled with injuries in her second WNBA season. Her most recent health issue is a groin injury that has forced her to miss three games, including the All-Star Game. While she has traveled with the team, she has not been available.

Despite the injury, Clark was still the captain for one of the teams at All-Star Weekend. On Thursday, analyst Skip Bayless posted a video to his YouTube channel discussing the timing of Clark’s injury. He suggested that, after months of backlash from other players for her popularity that she is willing to let other players sink or swim without her.

“This all made me wonder if maybe Caitlin got so tired of all the ungrateful resentment and all the petty jealousy that she finally said, ‘Okay, let’s see how you do without me.’ I have no proof whatsoever that did happen, but I did wonder if that were happening,” Bayless said (Timestamp 4:00).

“Did you Kelsey Plum said at halftime and after Saturday night’s all-star game. At halftime, she strongly made the point in an on-court interview that her team was going to pour it on Team Clark because her team was so much better than Team Clark.”

“Then afterward, she was sitting next to Sabrina Ionescu of Team Clark and Kelsey Plum, who played for the winning team. Kelsey Plum said, the idea of pay us what you owe us T-shirts came out of a meeting that Saturday morning, a meeting that zero members of Team Clark were very present for.”

Skip Bayless then insinuated that this was a shot at Caitlin Clark for not fighting for the WNBA and an increase in salaries for its players.

The Indiana Fever Released a Statement Regarding Caitlin Clark’s Injury

Caitlin Clark last appeared in a game for the Indiana Fever on July 15. Her groin injury has kept her out since then, and now it appears possible she could be out for an extended period.

On Thursday, the Fever released a statement, announcing that Clark underwent further medical evaluations this week. Although there were no additional injuries or damage, she is not expected to return immediately. The medical team did not provide a timetable for her return. However, the statement did emphasize that her priority is her long-term health and well-being.

In three games since Clark’s injury, the Fever have gone 1-2. They play next on Sunday against the Chicago Sky.
