Angel Reese, the standout forward of the Chicago Sky, made history on Wednesday, October 15, as she was the first professional athlete to walk at the legendary Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway in New York City.
The 23-year-old celebrated the achievement on social media by posting a photograph of herself walking the ramp in her lingerie, adorned with flowers in a primarily light pink and white set, as well as sculpted roses on her side.
Reese captioned her post as:
“first @victoriassecret fashion show💗.”
The image quickly garnered massive attention, drawing praise from a fellow WNBA sensation, none other than Dallas Wings guard, Paige Bueckers.
Bueckers, who just completed a stellar WNBA rookie season, commented on Reese’s viral post with a concise, three-word message: “Strutted your stuff 💅”.
Meanwhile, Reese herself expressed that she had manifested this moment. Furthermore, she stated that she had dedicated significant time to preparation for the unique demands of the runway experience.
Bueckers’ Record-Breaking Season Earns WNBA Rookie Of The Year Award
While Angel Reese is excelling with the Chicago Sky, the bright young star is also diversifying her professional portfolio. Between potentially acting and creating a signature shoe with Reebok, Reese has faced backlash from fans for seeming to devote time and interests outside her primary sport. Despite this, the forward continues to stand firm in her plans.
At the same time, Paige Bueckers capped an outstanding first season for the Dallas Wings. Bueckers earned the WNBA’s coveted 2025 Rookie of the Year award, collecting 70 of the possible 72 votes. She averaged 19.2 points per game, becoming the Wings’ first Rookie of the Year since 2017, including an amazing drop of 44 points in one game.
