‘Ain’t Said Nothing Wrong’ — LSU’s Flau’Jae Johnson’s Mom Reacts to NFL Star Joe Burrow’s NIL Advice to Recruits

Flau’jae Johnson is the latest star in a somewhat revolving door of big-time women hoopers with the LSU Tigers. She is the leading point scorer and has helped the Tigers become the fifth-best team in the nation. They have an impressive 25-1 record, and much of that success is because of Johnson’s contributions.

She is fortunate to have several NIL deals, including Unrivaled, Apple Cash, and JBL Audio. Due to the national exposure at LSU, like many other schools, athletes can be pulled in many different directions. Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow of the NFL recently offered some advice to his former LSU alums, to which Johnson’s mother backed up the former LSU star.

Flau’jae Johnson’s Mom Reacts to Joe Burrow’s NIL Advice

Last week, Joe Burrow appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show,” where he discussed what he thinks high school players should do when they are looking at colleges and start to receive NIL offers. He also discussed what he would have done in his college career if NIL were a factor.

“I probably would’ve transferred much earlier than I did, but I had to graduate to go and play. At the time, the transfer portal wasn’t a thing. I think it became a thing the next year after I transferred, but I still think you had to sit out a year,” Burrow explained.

“You should take advantage of NIL. If you’re going to be able to make seven figures in college, you’ve got to go and take advantage of that. If you’re in high school, and you’re getting offered that, go wherever they’re paying you the most.”

On Saturday, Johnson’s mom added an image with the final sentence of the quote to her Instagram story. She added a caption that made her feelings known.

“He ain’t said nothing wrong!!” she wrote.

Fortunately for her, Johnson should not have any issues securing NIL deals. She is a star in women’s college basketball and appears likely to become a star at the next level in the WNBA.
