WNBA All-Star Angel Reese is coming out with her very first shoe line just a year after signing her big deal with sports brand Reebok. It will be called the Angel Reese 1 and it will come out with the inaugural “Diamond Dust” colorway, with this being a nod about her tough life growing up in Baltimore.
The former LSU Tigers star opened up about how her tough upbringing molded her into who she is today, and this was what led to the initial colorway being diamond themed, as diamonds require pressure.
“I’m from Baltimore. It’s not easy coming from Baltimore—just being able to make it out, making diamonds from nothing. I didn’t come from money. I grew up with just me, my mom, and my brother. My mom made a lot of sacrifices for us, so just being able to be here today, I’m super grateful,” Angel Reese told reporters.

These new shoes will be released just before the WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis on July 19. Reese will be part of the reserves and is now promoting her new shoes. Here is how she dedicates this one to her background as a kid who grew up from Baltimore:
“Just a kid from Baltimore, turning dreams into reality and hoping I can inspire young women and men everywhere to do the same. The most brilliant diamonds take pressure, polish, and time. Reebok is back, and the diamonds are shining brighter than ever.”

Angel Reese Just the Second Women’s Basketball Star To Get Shoe From Reebok
In getting her very first shoe from Reebok, Angel Reese made history as only the second women’s basketball star to receive signature shoe from the sports apparel giant.
The first to get her shoe from the company was WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo with her Reebok Lobo, which was launched back in 1997. Reebok tried to compete against Nike and Adidas in basketball and took a step back after several years. Now, the company has been busy with NIL deals with college and high school athletes and is ready to launch new shoes for their resurgent basketball line.
