Everything We Know About Paige Bueckers’ WNBA future

Not only is Bueckers expected to enter the WNBA draft this spring, the superstar prospect is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in April’s 2025 WNBA Draft. The pick is currently held by the Dallas Wings.

The decorated Bueckers, a 2021 AP Player of the Year, Naismith College Player of the Year, UWBWA National Player of the Year, John R. Wooden Award and Nancy Lieberman Award winner, two-time unanimous first-team All-American, three-time Big East Player of the Year and three-time Big East tournament Most Outstanding Player looks to lead the Huskies to her fourth Final Four.

Under her leadership, the Huskies have gone on three Final Four runs, including a 2022 national championship appearance.

Bueckers has told the press she’s trying to “cherish” her last March Madness run, as the No. 2 seed Huskies get ready for a run that could see a challenging matchup against JuJu Watkins and No. 1 USC in the Elite Eight.

“It’s like you know the end is near, so you’re trying to cherish it and drag it out as long as possible because you don’t want it to end,” Bueckers told People Magazine. “There’s a lot of pressures that can come with it. Win or go home. It’s my last one ever. There really is no do-overs, so just trying not to think about that and really just playing with passion, joy and to have fun.”

The Wings — and the rest of the WNBA — will be eagerly awaiting her arrival.
