Florida State associate head women’s basketball coach Bill Ferrara Jr. was not pleased with a DM one of his players received from someone claiming to be a sports scout and international agent, inquiring about the transfer portal and NIL.
Ferrara, who helped the Seminoles to a fourth-place finish in the ACC and an NCAA round of 32 appearances, shared a screenshot of the DM on social media, calling it “what’s wrong with WBB [women’s basketball] right now.”

The DM, from a man named Karol Kutta, inquired about the transfer portal and NIL agreements.
“___, how are you? This is Karol Kutta, NCAA sports scout and international agent from StaylineSports. I’m working on the transfer portal and NIL agreements,” the DM said.
“I just wanted to check your current situation and if you would be open to exploring options for the next season. We currently represent one of the best names in D1 women’s basketball, and if you are thinking of trying yourself on a different stage with more playing time, we would be able to help you. Take care”
Kutta, whose Instagram account is now private, claims to be a basketball agent for Stayline Sports and a lawyer. Stayline claims to be a worldwide company representing athletes.
“We are officially certified to operate within FIBA entities, the NBPA leagues, as well as the NCAA,” Stayline’s website writes.

Stayline’s Instagram account has over 8,000 followers as of April 3, 2025. They claim to represent Nila Blackford, who averaged double digits for the Xavier Musketeers throughout her five years in Cincinnati, Ohio. More recently, they claimed to sign the Nigerian-born Oyindamola Akinbolawa, who entered the portal after three years at Auburn.
