“Thought She Got Tased” – Hoops Fans Troll Paige Bueckers After Former UConn Star Shows Off Goofy Boxing Moves

The Dallas Wings are currently holding the third-worst record in the league with just eight wins and 20 losses. But that hasn’t affected the morale of players, especially their rookie, the number one draft pick, Paige Bueckers.

A week ago, when the Wings went to San Francisco to face the Golden State Valkyries, Bueckers was in a playful mood. During practice, the 23-year-old showed her fun side while demonstrating her boxing skills.

A clip of the same was posted on X by popular troll account BricksCenter. It garnered several interactions from hoop fans, most of them trolled Bueckers.

Some fans were confused since they probably didn’t understand the sarcasm, while others played along.

“what did i just watch,” a fan WROTE.

“Better kick step than most tackles in the NFL tbh,” a fan WROTE.

“Need her to bring this energy today 😈” a fan WROTE.

“nah she the goat😂😂” a fan WROTE.

“What about this video makes you think that?” a fan WROTE.

It was clear from her expressions and comical footwork that Bueckers was just having fun and wasn’t taking herself seriously. However, it didn’t stop fans from trashing her in the replies.

Outside of her boxing skills and the fact that the Wings are getting humiliated in the league, Bueckers is having a phenomenal rookie season. Some of her performances have even eclipsed Caitlin Clark’s rookie season.

Paige Bueckers is making WNBA history

The league has become more popular over the last few years. While it benefits the players in several ways, it also highlights their failures to a bigger audience. But Bueckers doesn’t have that problem. She has been on quite a run since making her WNBA debut.

She is averaging 18.3 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 22 games so far. Bueckers has been shooting at an impressive 45.2% from the field and 34.6% from the three-point range.

Although she hasn’t been able to help her team maintain a winning record, her numbers are simply undeniable. She scored in double digits in 22 straight games. One more double-digit performance and she’ll tie Natalie Williams for the fifth most consecutive double-digit performances in WNBA history.

Bueckers also became the fastest guard in nearly two decades to accumulate 400 career points, since Cynthia Cooper in 1997. Bueckers also holds the record for most games by a rookie with a 20+ points, 5+ assists, and 0 turnovers stat line.

The Wings will play the Indiana Fever tonight at home.
