Caitlin Clark’s ex-teammate and former Iowa basketball guard Jada Gyamfi was recently spotted in a fellow Iowa guard Kennise Johnson’s relaxing insight into her downtime with fellow friends, including Journey Houston.
On Thursday, Johnson dropped photos from their ongoing vacation, where she captures a poolside selfie with Gyamfi and Houston relaxing on a lounge chair and soaking up the sun. Gyamfi was wearing a stylish all-white bikini paired with sunglasses and headphones. Her other two friends were flashing peace signs and sticking out their tongues for the selfie.

Gyamfi (6-1 forward, senior) and Johnson (5-4 guard, junior) are both on the roster for the 2025-26 Iowa women’s basketball team. Gyamfi was new to the program when Clark was playing her last few seasons with the Iowa Hawkeyes before being picked first overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Jada Gyamfi Shares Heartfelt Message After Caitlin Clark Returns to Iowa
Earlier in May, Caitlin Clark returned to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the Fever’s preseason game against the Brazilian National Team. It was for the first time in 222 days when Clark stepped on the court in front of a sellout Iowa crowd. Her team put on a show to defeat Brazil 108-44. In that game, Clark had 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Former teammate and Iowa star Jada Gyamfi posted a heartfelt message after Clark returned to Iowa with the Fever. She took to Instagram to express her pride and emotions, writing:
“My people for always – nothing makes me happier than getting to support you 22.”
“Blessed to be a small part of your greatness, cheers to another great season!”
Clark and Gyamfi played together from 2022 to 2024 in Iowa. During this time, the Hawkeyes appeared in back-to-back national championship games while adding Big Ten titles as well. Clark was named National Player of the Year two times in a row and Gyamfi’s impact also didn’t go unnoticed.
The two are connected over social media and are always seen in each other’s comments sections.
